What the observations can tell you.

Cohovio is being built to help training providers compare peer course listings over time. Here is what we observe, how we keep those observations distinct, and where the evidence stops.

A focused starting point

The observational pilot covers full classroom courses for the CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) in Yorkshire and South East England. This scope does not include refresher courses or other delivery formats.

The pilot is a selected panel, not a representative picture of either regional market. A provider’s watched listings may cover only part of its calendar. The presence of a course in that panel does not establish how much training is available across the region.

A record of what was advertised

An observation records the remaining places a provider advertised at the time of collection, alongside the course date and any published price. A decrease might reflect a booking, a hold or an allocation change. It does not establish paid enrolment, attendance, demand or revenue.

Increases are retained too. Zero means that zero remaining places were advertised; an unknown value means a count was unavailable. We keep those states separate rather than filling in missing values.

Dates and gaps are part of the evidence

Each observation keeps its source listing and the time the information was collected, separate from the date the course starts. History is built from actual observations on actual dates. Repeated checks on the same day do not create extra days of history.

When collection fails, the last observation keeps its original date. A missing listing or failed check does not mean a course was cancelled. Charts must show gaps rather than connect a line across missing observations, and any future public history must make its coverage and freshness visible.

Courses are distinguished by provider, qualification, delivery format, location and start date. A similar course on a new date is not automatically treated as a reschedule; that connection needs explicit evidence.

What is available today

Cohovio is in an observational pilot. Public histories, customer accounts, watchlists and billing are not launched. The chart on our home page is entirely fictional and demonstrates how observations could be presented; it is not evidence from the pilot.

You can email contact@cohovio.com to ask about your region or tell us how you compare peer courses today. This is an enquiry, not a subscription or a promise of coverage.

Common questions

Does a fall in remaining places mean a course is selling?

It shows that fewer places were advertised between observations. We cannot tell whether that change came from bookings, holds or another allocation decision, so we do not describe it as sales or demand.

What happens when a course disappears?

Its previous observations remain part of the history. Disappearance alone does not establish cancellation or explain what happened to the course.

Can I subscribe or create a watchlist?

Those services are not launched. You can email us with an enquiry about coverage; doing so does not create an account, watchlist or subscription.
